i really need to investigate the possibilities of making my own band t-shirts. been wanting to guerrilla screenprint my own dresses. mummy keeps yelling at me to find a j-o-b (to which i say, baby steps! one illustration and one desperate plea at a time!).
20 parts poemas de amor, 2 parts cotton sweaters from the gap. pour over tiny asian girl and shake.

mixtapes and landscapes
in a few days, i will be flying to mexico city to see radiohead. a friend just recontextualized it as thematically related to my thesis work, or, "roadtripping to a place to see a band". i never knew my intentions were so obvious.

flowers for peace
a couple of my current fixations:
a. rituals. i love their rigor. i love their excess. i love that they are best performed under some sort of physical/mental/emotional duress. i love that they don't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things.
b. garlands. this motif recurs a lot in pablo neruda. one certain garland also wore red shoes in the wizard of oz.
c. appending 'for peace' to the end of plural nouns. sentences for peace, y'all! if everyone adopted such a mission, do you think we'd live in a happier world?
